The Nova Scotia Youth Choir is a provincial choir made up of auditioned singers aged 16 to 25. It is the only choir of the Nova Scotia Choral Federation. It provides talented young singers a unique opportunity to obtain top-notch musical skills and perform challenging repertoire. This year's director is Julia Davids, Artistic Director of the Canadian Chamber Choir.

Harpsichordist and organist Luc Beauséjour is known for the elegance, virtuosity, and expressiveness of his playing which have won him an enthusiastic audience and the continuing praise of critics and music specialists.


Canadian soprano Martha Angeline Guth began her career singing under the batons of world renowned conductors such as Seiji Ozawa, Richard Bradshaw, Robert Spano, Helmut Rilling, and Stephen Lord.

A faculty member of the University of Manitoba since 2002, Allen Harrington is Canada's leading young saxophonist. In June, he won the prestigious 2004 International Stepping Stone competition in Toronto.

 

Collaborative pianist Laura Loewen, a native of Winnipeg, has appeared in concerts throughout North America. She is an Assistant Professor at the University of Manitoba.

The Tokai String Quartet was formed in August 2002, and since this time they have made themselves known as one of Toronto's finest young ensembles. While its members come from a range of cultural backgrounds - Canada, Russia/Israel, Hungary and South Africa - the quartet strives for musical unity in its explorations of the traditional repertoire, as well as works by contemporary composers.
