A native of Romania, pianist Bogdan Dulu is a versatile musician with wide multidisciplinary interests. Gold Medalist at the 2011 Seattle International Piano Competition, Bogdan has performed in such venues as New York’s Carnegie Recital Hall, Vancouver’s Chan Centre, and Seattle’s Benaroya Nordstrom Hall. Bogdan Dulu holds a Bachelor’s degree from the National University of Music Bucharest, and a Master’s degree from Mannes College The New School for Music in New York City where he studied with Russian pianist Irina Morozova. He is currently a Doctor of Musical Arts degree candidate at the University of British Columbia School of Music where he studies with acclaimed Canadian pianist, Jane Coop.

Maritime Brass Quintet brings the highest caliber chamber music to audiences across the Maritimes and beyond. The group is comprised of five of Canada’s finest brass players: Curtis Dietz and Richard Simoneau (trumpet), Gina Patterson (horn), Eric Mathis (trombone) and Bob Nicholson (tuba & bass trombone). Maritime Brass Quintet members have studied throughout North America and performed or held positions with many of the world’s leading ensembles, including the Chicago Symphony, Toronto Symphony, l’Orchestre Symphonique de Montréal, and the National Arts Centre Orchestra. Since forming in 2011, Maritime Brass Quintet has been gaining recognition as a leading brass ensemble in Canada and internationally.

Quartetto Gelato (oboe, accordion, cello, violin/tenor) is unique in its ability to blend virtuosity and charm. With a performance repertoire that spans the globe including classical masterworks, operatic arias, the sizzling energy of tangos, gypsy and folk songs, the group’s theatrical stage presence and relaxed humor establishes an intimate rapport with audiences worldwide. Two decades of multiple awards, breathless accolades, and CD sales in the hundreds of thousands have created a huge and loyal following. Quartetto Gelato is regularly heard on CBC, Classical 96.3 FM, NPR, PRI, and NUR networks. Their Concert in Wine Country DVD is seen regularly on PBS.
