The Back Alley Big Band is a contemporary jazz ensemble that features the best jazz musicians in Eastern Canada. This group of seasoned professionals is dedicated to playing big band jazz in both modern and traditional big band jazz styles. The material ranges from the wonderful jazz ensemble classics of legend Sammy Nestico to modern day big band charts by Bob Curnow’s L.A. Big Band and Gordon Goodwin’s Big Phat Band and also with original compositions written by Lead Alto Saxophonist Mr. Chris Mitchell.
