The starting performance for the
Rhapsody Quintet concert
The Dartmouth All-City Jazz Choir, under the direction of conductor and music educator Michael MacDonald, provides a varied and dynamic opportunity for students in Grade 9-12 to create choral pop and jazz music. This creative and talented ensemble performs contemporary choral music in concerts and festivals throughout Nova Scotia and has received awards at the Halifax, Truro and Annapolis Valley Music Festivals. A program of the Halifax Regional School Board, the choir rehearses weekly at the Dartmouth Music Centre and is a proud member of the Nova Scotia Choral Federation. The stylistic influences of artists such as The Real Group, Manhattan Transfer, Michael Buble, the Beatles and the Pentatonix are reflected in the repertoire of this entertaining contemporary ensemble.
